Scope
Gulf Journal of Mathematics welcomes submissions from all branches of pure and applied mathematics that make a significant contribution to their fields.
New Submissions
To submit your article register and login to our online submission portal here.
There are no strict formatting requirements for the initial submission. However, the article should be in PDF format and contain the essential elements needed to convey your manuscript, for example abstract, keywords, AMS subject classifications, introduction, background, results, and figures with captions. The list of authors cannot be altered after the initial submission.
Peer Review
The GJoM is a peer-reviewed journal. Every research article published by GJoM is subject to external peer review, and all published content is subject to editorial oversight by the Editorial Board. GJoM operates a single-blind review model.
Each submission is first screened by the editor, who verifies that the manuscript falls within the scope of the journal, is original and not under consideration elsewhere, and meets the journal's requirements for presentation. Submissions that do not meet these requirements are rejected without external review.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two referees selected by the handling editor based on their expertise in the relevant subject area. Referees must be independent of the authors and are required to declare any conflict of interest. They assess the manuscript for correctness, originality, significance, and clarity of exposition, and provide a written report supporting their recommendation. Manuscripts and referee reports are treated as confidential.
The handling editor evaluates the manuscript in light of the referee reports and decides whether to accept, reject, or invite revision. Referee reports are advisory, and the final decision rests with the handling editor, who may seek additional reports when the existing reports differ materially. The corresponding author is notified of the decision and receives the anonymized referee reports. Manuscripts returned after major revision are normally referred to the original referees for further review.
An editor who has a conflict of interest with respect to a submission, including a submission on which the editor is an author, takes no part in its handling. In such cases, the manuscript is assigned to another member of the Editorial Board. The journal retains the reports, decisions, and correspondence associated with each submission.
Final Submissions
Upon acceptance the authors must submit the final version of their manuscript in Latex. The authors should use the journal Latex template to format their final submission. Any additional supporting files such as figures should be submitted along with the Latex file.
Use of Generative AI
Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies may be used in preparing scientific manuscripts, but only to improve language clarity and readability. Their use must be supervised by the authors, who are responsible for verifying the accuracy, completeness, and neutrality of the output. Final responsibility for the manuscript rests with the authors.
Any use of AI tools must be transparently disclosed in the manuscript. A corresponding statement will be included in the published article. This disclosure promotes integrity, accountability, and compliance with the terms of use of the relevant technologies.
AI tools cannot be credited as authors or cited as such. Authorship requires the ability to take responsibility for the content, respond to questions about accuracy or integrity, approve the final version, and consent to submission—roles only human contributors can fulfill. Authors must also ensure that the work is original, that all listed authors meet authorship criteria, and that the content does not infringe on third-party rights. Authors are expected to review and adhere to the journal’s Ethics in Publishing policy before submission.
