Abstract

In this paper, we introduce the concept of quantile-based generalized entropy of order (α, β) for doubly truncated random variable and study their properties. Also, we discuss the bounds of the purposed quantile-based generalized interval entropy (QGIE). There are several models for which quantile function are available in tractable form, though their distribution functions are not available in explicit form. Further some special lifetime distribution have been studied using the proposed (QGIE). Various example are provided for illustration purpose.
