A common fixed point result for (mu, psi)-weakly contractive mappings

Abstract

A common fixed point result satisfying a (μ ψ)-weak contract condition for single-valued mappings in the framework of metric spaces is derived. The results presented in the paper generalize and extend several well-known results in the literature.
