Approximation by new Baskakov operators

Abstract

In this paper, we discuss a uniform convergence and the error estimate for the second-order Baskakov operator with the maximal function of the Lipschitz type. A new type of Baskakov-type operator is constructed. We present some results on the convergence rate and Voronovskaja theorem of the new operator. Finally, we give some numerical examples to demonstrate how three different Baskakov operators converge.
