Fixed point theorems for contractions of integral type through generalized Omega distance

Abstract
This paper introduces a novel fixed-point theorem for integral-type contractions using generalized Omega-distance. Our findings broaden and unify multiple well-known results in the literature by weakening contraction requirements and integrating Lebesgue-integrable auxiliary functions. Additionally, we demonstrate the applicability of our theorem by proving the existence and uniqueness of solutions for a class of nonlinear functional equations under minimal assumptions.
