On the stability of a k-balancing functional equation

Abstract

We examine a functional equation in Banach spaces that defines k-balancing functions through a recurrence relation. We show these functions are directly linked to k-balancing numbers, prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of the equation, and establish the uniqueness of the solution.
